Learn how women shaped the art of magic despite being overlooked, erased or restricted to “assistant” roles, and enjoy moments of live magic along the way. These challenges closely mirror what women experience in many male-dominated professions, and in magic, sexism is built into the art form.
Celebrate Women’s Herstory Month and discover fascinating, courageous women, share humor, and enjoy an occasional magic effect that reveals how women used creativity, resilience, and ingenuity to claim space, find their voices, and lead on their own terms.
Appropriate for ages 18 and older. This program will be hosted in English. Space is limited; registration required.

In the heart of downtown Brighton, Anythink Brighton blends bold design with a deep commitment to sustainability as the nation’s first carbon-negative library. Opened in 2009, this LEED Gold-certified library branch marked a new chapter in the Anythink story as the first Anythink library. More recently, it found its way into the streets of Anythink World, where Brighton’s spirit continues to inspire new adventures.
