Ready to make your voice heard?
The Youth Empowerment Project is a student-led leadership group created in partnership with the City of Thornton and Anythink TCC. Help plan events, shape programs, volunteer in your community, share your ideas, and work alongside other teens to make a real impact locally. Whether you’re passionate about art, activism, gaming, mental health, STEM, community events, or just want a place to connect and be heard, this is your space to speak up, get involved, and help create opportunities for youth in Thornton. Meet new people, build leadership skills, collaborate on projects, and help shape the future of teen programming and community engagement at Anythink TCC and beyond. The Youth Empowerment Project meets the first and third Mondays of the month. Appropriate for ages 12–18 (or those at least in 6th grade). This program will be hosted in English. Registration not required.
¿Listo para hacer oír tu voz? El Proyecto de Empoderamiento Juvenil es un grupo de liderazgo dirigido por estudiantes creado en colaboración con la ciudad de Thornton y Anythink TCC. Ayuda a organizar eventos, dar forma a programas, hacer voluntariado en tu comunidad, compartir tus ideas y trabajar junto a otros adolescentes para generar un impacto real a nivel local. Ya sea que te apasione el arte, el activismo, los videojuegos, la salud mental, las STEM, los eventos comunitarios o simplemente quieras un lugar para conectarte y ser escuchado, este es tu espacio para expresarte, participar y ayudar a crear oportunidades para los jóvenes de Thornton. Conoce gente nueva, desarrolla habilidades de liderazgo, colabora en proyectos y ayuda a dar forma al futuro de la programación para adolescentes y la participación comunitaria en Anythink TCC y más allá. El Proyecto de Empoderamiento Juvenil se reúne el primer y tercer lunes de cada mes. Apto para jóvenes de 12 a 18 años (o que estén al menos en 6.º grado). Este programa se llevará a cabo en inglés. No es necesario inscribirse.

Anythink Thornton Community Center is our newest library branch. Partnering with the City of Thornton, Anythink has a 8,000-square-foot library within the community center. The library features the classic Anythink reading fireplace, study rooms, teen space, and children’s space plus a new complete Studio makerspace.
