Ready to make your voice heard?
The Youth Empowerment Project is a student-led leadership group created in partnership with the City of Thornton and Anythink TCC. Help plan events, shape programs, volunteer in your community, share your ideas and work alongside other teens to make a real impact locally. Whether you’re passionate about art, activism, gaming, mental health, STEM, community events or just want a place to connect and be heard, this is your space to speak up, get involved and help create opportunities for youth in Thornton. Meet new people, build leadership skills, collaborate on projects and help shape the future of teen programming and community engagement at Anythink TCC and beyond. The Youth Empowerment Project meets the first and third Mondays of the month. Appropriate for ages 12–18 (or those at least in 6th grade). This program will be hosted in English. Registration not required.
¿Estás listo para hacerte escucharte? El Proyecto de empoderamiento para jóvenes es un grupo de liderazgo guiado por estudiantes creado en asociación con City of Thornton y Anythink TCC. Ayuda a planear eventos, desarrollar programas, ser voluntario en tu comunidad, compartir tus ideas y trabajar junto con otros jóvenes para tener un impacto local real. Ya sea que te apasiona el arte, el activismo, los videojuegos, la salud mental, STEM, los eventos comunitarios o que solo quieres un lugar para relacionarte con otras personas y ser escuchado, este es tu lugar para hablar, participar y ayudar a crear oportunidades para los jóvenes de Thornton. Conoce gente nueva, desarrolla habilidades de liderazgo, colabora en proyectos y ayuda a dar forma a los programas para jóvenes y de interacción con la comunidad en Anythink TCC y más. El proyecto de empoderamiento para jóvenes se reúne el primer y el tercer lunes del mes. Apropiado para edades de 12 a 18 (o para aquellos que están por lo menos en grado sexto). Este programa es en inglés. No se requiere inscripción.

Anythink Thornton Community Center is our newest library branch. Partnering with the City of Thornton, Anythink has a 8,000-square-foot library within the community center. The library features the classic Anythink reading fireplace, study rooms, teen space, and children’s space plus a new complete Studio makerspace.
