Enjoy family-friendly refreshments and activities as you view the mural and explore the "KissFist Mural Fest: Behind the Scenes at Anythink" exhibit throughout the branch.
Mansfield is a multidisciplinary Deaf artist whose work powerfully explores Deaf life, American Sign Language, and Deaf culture. Her work is characterized by the visual expression of the Deaf experience, often conveying themes of cultural affirmation, historical resistance, and identity. With a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, her extensive career includes art residencies like James Castle House, curating a 40-artist show in DC, and teaching globally at places like the Beaux Arts in France. Her work has been showcased in over 60 solo and group exhibitions at renowned institutions like the Dyer Art Center, Science Museum of Virginia, and the Silesian Museum. She is based in Frederick, Maryland.

About the branch
In the heart of downtown Brighton, Anythink Brighton blends bold design with a deep commitment to sustainability as the nation’s first carbon-negative library. Opened in 2009, this LEED Gold-certified library branch marked a new chapter in the Anythink story as the first Anythink library. More recently, it found its way into the streets of Anythink World, where Brighton’s spirit continues to inspire new adventures.
