Join a facilitated conversation over coffee and pastries where you can explore with others what it means to live fully in a world where violence exists. Led by We Are Safer Together founders Krista, a Columbine High School shooting survivor, and Kayla, a survivor of impersonal violence, you will discuss practical ways to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe while still engaging in life, and learn how to build supportive, connected communities in challenging times. Together, Krista and Kayla bring over 15 years of expertise in violence prevention, de-escalation, and preparedness training to communities worldwide.
Everyone is welcome! Come ready to connect, learn, and leave with tools for resilience.

About the branch
Anythink Huron Street is a 25,000-square-foot library located at the intersection of Conifer and Huron streets in Thornton. On Feb. 6, 2010, this fantastic facility opened its doors to library customers in the communities of Northglenn, Thornton, Federal Heights and surrounding areas. Anythink Huron Street is Gold LEED certified and includes fun, inspiring spaces for all ages to enjoy.
