En esta hora, explicaremos qué es la diabetes, cómo se diagnostica y los diferentes tipos. También aprenderá sobre los riesgos de la diabetes y las medidas para manejarla, como comer bien, mantenerse activo, tomar medicamentos y manejar su nivel de azúcar en la sangre. También compartiremos consejos para reducir el riesgo de diabetes. Esta sesión está abierta a todos, ya sea que viva con diabetes, esté preocupado por su riesgo o simplemente quiera apoyar a sus familiares y amigos.
Este programa va estar facilitada en español. Una versión en inglés esta establecido para el sabado 8 de noviembre 2025, de 10:30AM hasta 11:30AM.

Join us for a free presentation about diabetes and how it affects your health, facilitated by the dietician and education specialists from Adams County Health Department’s Diabetes Education and Prevention Program.
Learn what diabetes is, how it is diagnosed, and the different types. Get information about the risks of uncontrolled diabetes and the steps to manage it, such as eating well, staying active, taking medications, and checking your blood sugar. You will also get tips on how to lower your risk for diabetes. This session is open to everyone, whether you are living with diabetes, worried about your risk, or just want to support family and friends.
This program will be facilitated in Spanish. An English version will be held at the same location on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from 10:30-11:30 am.
Appropriate for adults of all ages. Registration is not required.
