Pop culture meets body art in this creative hands-on workshop with Denver Henna!
Kids and teens will learn how to design and draw their favorite pop culture icons – from superheroes to video game symbols – using safe, all-natural henna. Along the way, they’ll explore the science, history, and traditions behind this ancient art form plus henna safety. It’s the perfect mix of creativity, culture, and self-expression!
Appropriate for ages 11 to 19. This program will be hosted in English. Space is limited; registration required. Please register each individual who will participate in the program.

Niños y adolescentes aprenderán a diseñar y dibujar sus íconos favoritos de la cultura pop, desde superhéroes hasta símbolos de videojuegos, usando henna segura y natural. Durante la sesión explorarán la ciencia, historia y tradiciones relacionadas con esta forma antigua de arte, además aprenderán a manipular la henna con seguridad. ¡Es la mezcla perfecta de creatividad, cultura y expresión propia!

With an energy-efficient structure and sleek design, Anythink Commerce City features a children’s pavilion, computer lab with ADA workstations and a teen area. A reading nook with fireplace looking out onto an enclosed garden offers a place of quiet reflection for visitors to enjoy. Sustainable features of the building include Solatubes, carpeting made from recycled materials, geothermal heating and cooling, and a green roof above the children’s pavilion planted with xeric local flora. The landscaped site also includes a community garden, maintained by local community members in partnership with Denver Urban Gardens.
