Join us for a special documentary watch party in partnership with the Denver Office of Storytelling, in honor of Black History Month.
The 18-minute documentary “Five Points: A Denver Legacy” is an overview of the resilient and iconic historically Black Five Points neighborhood in Denver. In the days of hardline redlining, Five Points thrived with ingenuity and music, with Black professionals finding ways to support Black business and Black artists drawing residents from across the city to experience what was then called the Harlem of the West. The watch party will include a discussion led by producer Emily Maxwell, as well as food and beverages for attendees, while supplies last. Visit IAmDenver.org for more information about the film and the office. Appropriate for adults. No advanced registration necessary.
