Join the musicians of Playground Ensemble for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on music experience where creativity takes center stage and art and sound collide in surprising ways!

Explore how shapes, colors, and gestures can be transformed into music – then hear your ideas come to life, performed by live musicians in real time. Learn how to compose using Soundpainting, a visual language of hand signals that lets anyone lead an ensemble on the spot. You'll also experiment with electronic sound using analog synthesizers and beat-making tools. No experience needed – just your imagination.

Appropriate for all ages. This program will be hosted in English. No advanced registration necessary.

¡Acompañe a los músicos de Playground Ensemble para una experiencia musical, práctica y única donde la creatividad es el centro de atención y el arte y el sonido se encuentran de maneras sorprendentes!

Explore cómo las formas, colores y gestos pueden transformarse en música y después escuche cómo sus ideas se convierten en realidad, interpretadas por músicos en vivo en tiempo real. Aprende a componer usando Soundpainting, un lenguaje visual de signos con las manos que permiten a cualquiera dirigir a un conjunto en el momento. About the branch

With an energy-efficient structure and sleek design, Anythink Commerce City features a children’s pavilion, computer lab with ADA workstations and a teen area. A reading nook with fireplace looking out onto an enclosed garden offers a place of quiet reflection for visitors to enjoy. Sustainable features of the building include Solatubes, carpeting made from recycled materials, geothermal heating and cooling, and a green roof above the children’s pavilion planted with xeric local flora. The landscaped site also includes a community garden, maintained by local community members in partnership with Denver Urban Gardens.
