Youth Poetry & Performance Workshop

Taller de poesía y presentación para jóvenes

Get ready to celebrate National Poetry Month and prepare for the upcoming Youth Poetry Slam at this interactive, fun workshop with Adams County Poet Laureate, Kerrie Joy!

Stretch your imagination and practice playing with words to create or fine-tune your poems. Experiment with different storytelling techniques in a safe, supportive environment that will help you gain skills to feel more confident at open mics, poetry slams, and other stage performances.

This workshop will be at Parsons Theatre located in Northglenn Recreation Center at 1 E Mem Pkwy Entrance, Northglenn, CO 80233. 

Appropriate for teens and young adults, about 24 years old or younger. This workshop will be hosted in English. Registration is recommended but not required. If you want to come on the day of, we'd love to have you!

Despliega tu imaginación y practica jugar con las palabras para crear o afinar tus poemas. Experimenta con diferentes técnicas de narración en un ambiente seguro y solidario que te ayudará a adquirir las habilidades para sentirte con más confianza en las sesiones públicas y concursos de poesía, así como en otras presentaciones en escenarios.

Apropiado para adolescentes y adultos jóvenes de hasta 24 años. Este taller se celebrará en inglés. Se recomienda inscribirse, pero no es obligatorio. Si quieres venir el mismo día, ¡nos encantaría que vinieras!
